Privacy Policy

This translation is provided for information only; only the French version is legally binding.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Teedaïk is an independent project, currently in beta. Its publisher is the controller of your personal data. For any question about your data or to exercise your rights, write to teedeaugustinnoudamadjo@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

Account: name, email address, phone number (verified by SMS code), password (stored only as an Argon2id hash, never in plain text) and, if you enable two-factor authentication, its technical secret. Profile, if you fill it in: photo, cover, headline, bio, username, interests and links.

Content and activity: posts, comments, reactions, messages, videos, stories, pages, groups, lives, follows, notifications, reports and privacy choices.

Sign-in and security: IP address, country, region and city derived from the IP address by our host, browser type, sign-in dates, sign-in attempts and security events (password change, new session…).

Payments (live tickets, gifts, Premium subscription): amount, currency, date, status and transaction reference. Card or Mobile Money account numbers are entered directly with Stripe or FedaPay: Teedaïk never sees or stores them.

Automatic translation: when you request a translation, the text is sent to an artificial-intelligence model through Vercel's AI gateway. Teedaïk does not keep the text, only a technical anti-abuse counter deleted after 24 hours.

Your choices: the date, version and content of each consent (terms of use, this policy, external content), and the requests you send to the team under the GDPR.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

Performance of the contract (terms of use): creating and managing your account, displaying your profile and content, enabling messages, calls, lives, payments and translations.

Legitimate interest: protecting accounts and the platform (detecting suspicious sign-ins, fighting fraud, spam and abuse), producing aggregated internal statistics.

Legal obligation: keeping accounting records of payments and answering requests from competent authorities.

Consent: loading content hosted by other websites (see section 7). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Teedaïk does not sell your data, does not show targeted advertising and does no advertising profiling.

4. Service providers and recipients

Your data is accessible to the Teedaïk team members who need it, according to their role; every sensitive action they take is recorded in an audit log. It is also processed on our behalf by: Vercel (website hosting, file storage, AI gateway), Neon (database), Twilio (SMS codes), Stripe and FedaPay (payments).

To set up a call or a live, your browser contacts connection servers (STUN) run by Google and Twilio, which only see your IP address. Audio and video then flow directly between participants.

Some of these providers are located outside the European Union, notably in the United States. These transfers are covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (European Commission standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework).

5. Retention periods

Account, profile and content: as long as your account exists. When you delete it, everything is erased from the database immediately, and your files (photos, videos, attachments) are removed from storage no later than the following night's automatic purge.

Stories: visible for 24 hours, then permanently deleted (text and image); you can also delete yours at any time.

View-once photos and videos sent in messages: erased from storage as soon as they have been viewed (at most 10 minutes after opening), or after 30 days if never opened. Only the “Opened” label stays in the conversation.

Sign-in logs: full IP address for 30 days, then only a truncated form and the country; logs and security events deleted after 12 months. Sign-in attempts: 30 days. Sessions: until they expire (30 days at most). SMS codes: 24 hours after expiry. Notifications: 12 months. Technical call and live data: 24 hours.

Payment accounting records: 10 years, as required by law. If you delete your account, they are detached from you (no name or linked account).

GDPR requests: 5 years after they are closed, so the answer given can be proven. History of your consents: as long as your account exists.

An automatic job applies these periods every night.

6. Your rights

Access and portability: Settings › My data › “Download (JSON)” instantly gives you a copy of your data in a reusable format.

Erasure: Settings › Security › “Delete my account” erases your account immediately and permanently.

Rectification, objection, restriction or detailed access: you can edit your profile yourself, send a request from Settings › My data, or write to teedeaugustinnoudamadjo@gmail.com. The team answers within one month; the answer appears in My data.

You can withdraw your consent to external content at any time from My data. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (for example the CNIL in France or the APDP in Benin).

7. Cookies and external content

Teedaïk only uses strictly necessary cookies, which do not require consent: the sign-in session (30 days), your chosen language, theme and wallpaper, and the memory of your choice for external content (6 months). No advertising cookies or audience-measurement tools are used.

YouTube or Vimeo videos and partner platforms are hosted elsewhere: displaying them sends your IP address to those sites, which may also set their own cookies. They therefore stay blocked until you allow them, once or for 6 months. You can change this choice in Settings › My data.

Images from other websites (news, flags, logos, banners) go through our servers and fonts are hosted by Teedaïk: those sites do not receive your IP address.

8. Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords protected with Argon2id, limits on sign-in attempts, optional two-factor authentication, security alerts. Team access to the back office requires a password plus a physical or biometric passkey, and every action there is logged.

9. Changes

This policy may change as the service evolves. The date and version are shown at the top of the page. If there is a significant change, you will be informed on Teedaïk before it takes effect.
