History of Lettonie

Pays balte aux traditions de chants populaires (dainas), la Lettonie a été dominée par des chevaliers germaniques, la Pologne, la Suède et la Russie. Indépendante en 1918, annexée par l'URSS, elle retrouve sa liberté en 1991.
